New Custom Vinyl/Wrap from a company I use for paint.
« on: January 06, 2012, 11:17:14 AM »
Hey everyone, I do custom autobody and paint work (full restorations, custom paint jobs, airbrushing, etc...) on the side and this is one of the companies I use for paint.  Just so you know, I am in no way affiliated with them, just happy to be a free will cheerleader for a company that has done me right.

To show you that they aren't a fly by night company, they have been featured on several TV shows and their glow in the dark paint is what was used on the new TRON movie.

Now the good stuff.  Alsa Corp just released their new wrap material that is precoated with your choice of any paint that they have on 3M 1080 stretch film.

I hope links are ok  :-[

These guys are the real deal in the thought of "forward focus" on creating new materials.  You should check out some of the other stuff that they have like sprayable chrome and some of their stretch fabrics.  It has to be a bunch of people that always got made fun of and told "that isn't possible".  I have used a lot of their paints, thinking about investing to do some of their water transfer stuff, and haven't yet used any of their powder coat powder but it is coming very soon for some wheels I have to do...

I will be trying some of their wrap material though.

Have you ever used anything from Alsa?  The are pretty cutting edge.... in everything they do.  I still haven't made myself buy some of their vinyl yet but it will happen lol

Yeah, that is one of the reasons I got in to vinyl.  I do airbrushing and started using vinyl as a mask instead of buttercut or any of those mask materials and then hand cutting a design out of it.  The other reason was that I was installing graphics that customers bought so why not just cut them also.

I love their paints. Have been a long time fan of their quality. We have used a few different ones for  customers cars in painting.

I just got some samples that I requested last week and I have to say that the colors and chromes are even more amazing in person. The box contained a combination of phone wrap size colors and finishes including a few tinted chromes, and a generous size piece of chrome.

Nice!  I just requested some and can't wait to see what it's like.  Pretty good to hear that it looks better in person.  Plus they say you can clear coat over it so I want to see how much depth that adds to it as well.
