What Happens when wraps go bad
« on: October 17, 2011, 01:54:29 PM »
Here's an example of a wrap that was installed by some shop using (a) substandard materials & (b) undertrained & unqualified installers.

This customer CHASED US DOWN on the highway and begged us to help him with his Sprinter Van, he paid over 3 grand to some sign shop that wrapped it for him, within a few months the wrap was so sun damaged & cracked he attempted to remove it. The wrap was coming off in small chunks leaving all the glue behind and rust had formed in all the cut marks where the installer had cut thru the paint and exposed the steel underneath. Here are some photo's of the van, all the black dirt you see is GLUE, every channel & seam is cut thru to the steel and is rusting. It took us 2 days to get the rest of the wrap off and remove all the glue. We used blow torches to heat the material back up to peel it off & Rapid remover, squeegees, scrub brushes & a pressure washer with an industrial detergent to remove all the glue.

It would be court case here.

Anything a man says after that is the beginning of a new argument...
