My first couple wraps
« on: July 09, 2010, 07:53:54 PM »
I used Oracals 975 premium carbon fiber from fellers. 5.1 mil cast GLOSS finish.
The gloss is what got my attention since the 3m carbon fiber is a flat, and most of my customers want a glass carbon fiber.
Here are a few photos of before, during, after.
Before:

During:

After (plus a couple others):

(not air bubble, defects in the plastics i didnt know before wrapping it)

Others:

I would also love to know if anyone has found a supplier for Oracal 970RA wrap cast. Particularly Gloss black/ matte black by the YARD. I dont typically need 75ft. Thanks!
I work in a sign shop and learn something new every day.

Great work man, I really like it.

Is that "pressure sensitive" vinyl ? if you don't press really hard you can reposition it until you make it fit the way you want it ?
If you don't mind, how much did the vinyl cost you ?

I have a car with an AWFUL paint job on the whole front (hood+fenders) and I'm really considering wrapping it, but I have a lot of prep work to do, since any defect on the substrate is going to show like crazy.

the vinyl is re-positionable. its like $100 for 60"x3ft through fellers

I love it!!!  I love that look.  Makes me want to try some inside my truck now.  Gosh that is expensive though.  Let us know if you find it cheaper or maybe we could all pitch in on some and you could cut it and send us all a little  ;D
