pressing shirt

i pressed my first shirt today and when i peeled off the backing to the jpss some of it stayed on the shirt and it left a kinda light brown color on the shirt. does that mean to much heat or pressure? i pressed for 30 seconds at 375

sounds loke you temp could be off I bought a cheap 30.00 heat gun at home depot to check all my stuff.  You may need to try that I think Harbor freight has them go on sale real cheap.  I have never had a problem with jpss paper it is pretty forgiving.  Peel real quick after you lift you have the correct temp and time...

I would take the same shirt you messed up make a small print and try lowering the temp maybe 20 degree at a time until it comes out go.  Sounds like you already ruined the shirt so nothing to loose

i lowered it about 5 degrees and lowered the pressure alil and the small one on the front came out good. i finally got what was left peeled off the back and the browning went away some. it dont look to bad now

The color will go away some after a wash. I usually press and then grab the sides and stretch the shirt to get the paper to pop off a little.

Make sure your using a teflon sheet between the plate and paper/shirt.
