JPSS on ash question
« on: February 03, 2012, 02:21:44 PM »
Do you guys think the ash shirt color will show through the print on this if I use JPSS paper? I'm thinking the grey will show through the yellow/orange parts so I'm debating whether I should have them DTG printed or not.

Yes it will change the coloring some, with jpss it uses the white from the shirt for the white needed in the colors so it will always change the shades slightly. Plus every where you have white in that design will show as ash.

I need a good source for DTG, do you have one?

Oh, good call. Forgot there was white in the design. Damn, now they have to be DTG printed with white too. Ha. Yeah there's a couple DTG guys on the forum.

Can you point me to a good one? I used one forum member and was LESS than happy with the results and so was my customer. I took a huge loss on that deal.

+1 what Bill said.  Most problems can be traced back to heat press problems (time temp, accuracy), or garment problems (store bought that have been sprayed, wrong color, incompatable material, bad color choice)  seldom is it the JPSS.
always try to work it out with the person before making it public.

The problems I had were with the DTG, the colors weren't even, the red wasn't a solid, you could see the yellow shirt through the red, overall quality was just much less than I was expecting. Overall they looked like they had been washed 20 times just to give you an idea. As to if I notified the member on here, yes I did and expressed my problems and concerns. I was answered with no replies. My solution was easy, I gave them to the customer for less than I had in them and I have not sent any more business to the member here. There were only 14 (I think) shirts and all were the same.
