Business Section

How about a section for business discussion, marketing, and a place where people can post their business experiences to help others who are just starting. I'm not sure exactly how to break it down but I think it could be a very useful section

I would say that most of those topics would fit into one of the boards under "Beginners" such as resources, getting started, etc.

I'm going to disagree - I think it deserves its own section.  I was looking for a place to post a topic on eCommerce plugins / software, but it doesn't really fit anywhere.  It isn't a beginner's topic, it has nothing to do with vinyl in particular, and when I think of "resources", I think of tutorials, places to buy things, and the like.

I say we need a business board.

I agree with Brent. The resources section works for a lot of topics. And if we start putting up sections for every different type of discussion, then we will have a forum overloaded with boards and child boards. And if you really watch these topics, it seems that no one actually looks for the topic they want to find out about, they just start a new topic.

OK, I'm seconding the business board. Sometimes I would like to ask more business related questions, beyond resources. Like how others "run" their business but didn't now how or where to ask.

I followed Gads post with a business question of my own and I don't think the question would be limited to beginners.

What if we move resources out of beginners and into general, renaming it Business Practices and Resources?

Alright Guys.  Check out the compromise:

Beginners Section has been revamped. It is now Business Practices and Resources.  Changed a few titles, and reordered them.

In short, we repurposed one section that didn't see as much traffic, rolled Estimating & Pricing into General Business Practices, and we didn't make the front page any longer.

Thanks!

Brent
