Unusual size banner...?
« on: July 13, 2011, 10:07:02 PM »
Well not sure if it's unusual or not but I cant seem to find one. One of my friends is in a band and they wanted to get big banner, as close as possible to 10x10ft, with their logo on it. Any ideas where to get one or something close to that size? Also, what would be the best way to get their logo on it? Vinyl it, or get it printed? (white logo on black banner). I have a GX400 (40in) and I have yet to cut its max size.

Dont know where to get one but a customer of mine had a "media wall" built for red carpet events that came with a stand and everything, I wrapped a temporary graphic on it for a music awards show, try searching for that and see what you come up with, it was a canvas type material.

Thx booper, i'll look into that "media wall" but I know they want something they can just roll up and throw in the back of the van. They also have limited space where they live. How easy do you think the media wall would be to move around from one place to another on a weekly basis?

I don't think anyone on here has a seam welder - that is what it would take

find the people that do the bill boards in your area (hint) it is on the bottom of the billboard. it is kinda small so you might not notice it at first. they are usually putting printed banners on them now. i think the are something like 12'x16' printed in one piece. this size is called granformat printing. the local one to use is Nauman outdoors.

Scott, that seam welder looks pretty cool. Maybe something to get in the future. I think I might try what Jfought said. Hopefully it wont be too expensive.

I have a buddy that worked at a billboard company, they dont like selling the printed ones, I tried to buy one once, but they might sell you blanks..  They are pretty darn big...

Try a company called z3graphics in grinville sc they sell to trade only and have a super grand format printer, I use them for big banner orders and they are the best, wish I had big orders more often so I could use them more it's that easy...
