Mugs
« on: October 16, 2011, 07:01:50 AM »
I added a nice used mug press to my toys....
so, where do you suggest I purchase the mugs?

I've read that some pick up mugs at the dollar store....
are they as good as the mugs sold specifically for imprinting?

TIA

if you are using it for sublimation, then you will need the coated mugs - I suggest conde for great product every time - Jotopaper is another great supplier.  I take it you already have sublimation inks for your printer?  if not Richard at cobra has great deals.

Thanks Scott...I figured that the dollar store mugs wouldn't work...
and yes, I know I'll need a printer with high temp inks...
or buy the already printed transfers from someone who does.

I know bill has someone by him that he is having good luck with blanks from - I usually use conde just to play it safe.  a couple of bad purchases will take away all the saving from many others - Tampa seems safe but stay away from Miami sellers.

Along with the sublimination mugs I see where Joto has
mugs for "laser applications."  It looks like this is a heat
applied item but it is laser printed and then applied to the mug.
They don't explain much there...
Has anyone tried these?
