1st Beer Glass - Thanks Mark!
« on: February 03, 2012, 06:15:26 PM »
Well, I attempted my first beer glass. The contours are a pain in the a$$. I used app fluid and that seemed to make it a little less painful. I think the graphic needs to be a little higher on the glass. I can see in the pic where I need to adjust the vector. Part of Mickey's cheek didn't get blasted.

Did this as a gift for a friend.

A big thanks to Mark for the font help. It worked out great!

Yep, my favorite past time.

Thanks all. The more I look at it, I still think the graphic needs to be higher.

 Higher would be better. Sometimes I'll cut slit in the vinyl when I'm doing contours so it doesn't wrinkle. You also have to watch the small details on contour because of the way the vinyl tends to "walk" as you bring the design around and it will close up the design.

Yea, relief cuts do help reducing the wrinkles. Besides doing a wet app on this, I did one other thing. After I got the mask on and some what positioned I sat the glass in front of a little ceramic heater in the office. I'm not sure if this helped or not. But I hardly had any wrinkles. I squeegeed it while it was still hot. My intent was to evaporate the app fluid faster.
