Need Suggestions on Printing White on Sappharie Blue Tees
« on: May 24, 2011, 09:35:49 PM »
Okay so I have the cash in hand just gotta get the job done now..I have been playing around with printing for a cppl weeks now and have been doing really well with spot colors except white..So of course I try to sell this job as a non white print..lol Of course customer wants white haha my luck..Okay so I have a Ryonet 4 Color/1 Station, using Ulano Ez-Film capillary, Triangle cotton white plastisol,Sunie Flash, and a 125 white mesh aluminum screen...

So how can I begin to get this right the first time? I have had so many issues in the past with white that I just want to really give them they're money back(haha nahhhh)but really is it possible given what I got to get good prints with white? I tried a black tee to practice once I got my screen burnt but I was getting really thick blobs of ink in areas and the others it barely puts down..I seem to have good off-contact as I only use this one arm for everything and its been great so far..

I am starting to doubt the tension on this screen so I may try burning  another screen tomorrow to hope for better luck..

Man you have to use both arms! :-) But really if you have the off contact set just make sure you have ink going past the squeegee at pickup when you do the flood stroke and have your hands toward the ends of the squeegee. Set the angle you're going to stroke and with your hands at the ends use firm even pressure as you pull the stroke. Then flash it off and print it again. I use a one stroke white. But I still flash and do another print just to be safe. As long as you use even pressure on the squeegee you shouldn't have the blob effect. Hope that helps.

Thanks a lot bill! lol my other arm was hurting from holding the flash dryer haha..But ya I think I got a bad squeegee too..I noticed one side was rough to push(trying a push stroke now versus pull)so while cleaning I seen that my rubber was loose in the squeegee.. Oh well I have another one some where lol

Oh by the way just watchin the new and they litterly told the entire process of making Meth! Amazing how they have issues with it when they tell everyone the ingredients, how long it takes and how much it sells for haha too easy
