Actually, I bought everything used but in like new condition with tubs of ink, 12 screens and a huge assortment of supplies locally. Good ole Craig's List. Quote from: fivestar on August 06, 2011, 08:37:24 AMCongrats Vette, there's $$$$$$ in shirts. That's what I need to figure out now..... what I can charge in my area. Seems like my competition is really high from what my customers are telling me.
That's my plan........... even though I can only offer one color right now.

I knew what you meant, On that note though, I just put in an order Thursday around 4:00 with Ace Transfer and they shipped them out yesterday already.
I havent' been asked for more than one color designs yet, everyone just wants one color. In regards to screen mesh: The lower the number, the bigger the mesh gaps are. Usually the 2 digit numbers are used for glitter ink, etc. 110 mesh and 156 are probably the most used because they can be used with any simple graphic. 200-230 more detailed, 230 can be used for neck labels, etc. I think if you mess with the mesh numbers, you quickly learn what designs work for what mesh count. Good luck. I use 110'shere is a link that explains a few things: http://moyatees.wordpress.com/2010/08/02/heres-another-fine-mesh-youve-gotten-us-into/Heidi
congrats vette, what are you curing them with?
we use 110 for almost everything except fine detail or real small print we use 160. 74 is just going to dump to much ink on the shirts and can give a rough hand when printed. The big thing is to get your screens right, make sure to clean well and de-grease them. Are you useing cap film or liquid emulsion? How are you burning your screens?
