mirror tiles at lowes.
« on: January 26, 2012, 04:48:53 PM »
Been wanting to try some mirrors. Not sure if its a good deal or not but while at Lowes I found a pack of 5 12x12 mirrors for 9.99.
They also have a pack of 5 with beveled edges but they were 19.99.

They are good to practice on but the quality of
mirrors is usually pretty low.
Try a local glass shop they have scraps or end cut
pretty cheap.

Gotta agree with Carl. They're only good for practice. I've used em and you can see that some are hazy. But plenty of surface area to play on.

Defects in the glass, cloudy, scratches and general crap embedded in the glass. As for the silver, uniformity of the coating. Price. The tiles @ Home depot are very inexpensive compared to a glass company. But you can pick up the cut offs from a glass company pretty cheap. You also get people who order mirrors and then don't pick it up.
