air eraser issues
« on: January 18, 2012, 07:27:06 PM »
good evening all!

We got our sandblasting set up all working.. but I'm noticing an issue with the air eraser (or me).

It seems when I first start, it really starts out strong.  It does the the first glass really fast and even.  Then it slowly starts to fade and the stream becomes more narrow and takes longer to blast and sometimes it just seems like it's air.

I have an oil/water filter on the line.

Am I doing something wrong?

What are you using for a compressor?  Does the psi start out high and then drop off?  That would be my guess.

Are you using the air eraser from HF too?  I'm going to assume that you aren't just running out of blasting media in the eraser and say that you should watch your pressure gauge to see how much it's dropping after a period of blasting.  What psi are you blasting at?
