heads up on roland with twist on ink collector
« on: February 04, 2012, 11:24:26 AM »
If you have a newer roland with the twist on ink collector beware, it is possible to catch the output ink tube in the threads when you put the ink bottle back on!

my mess up might keep you from doing it in the future!

That stinks. I'm glad to see you had the plastic over the vinyl roll there to at least protect that.

thanks for the warning. one good way to avoide excessive removal and installation of the waste ink bottle is to shine a light through it to check the level, rather than removing it. very much like candeling an egg. when i know the bottle is good and the printer says to check it, i just hint the enter button and don't even look at the bottle.

Oh, that could have been so much worse.
I had a new printer cartridge go bad once. Man that was a mess. My long haired cat let me know about it.  :-\
