Which printer can I get the most out of.
« on: October 06, 2011, 10:58:38 AM »
I'm in the market for a printer.  I'm having customers asking for short runs of cards that we do that hardly seem worth outsourcing.

I'm thinking of getting the WF1100 with a continuous ink system, (pygment inks, I believe) so I can also do some printing on vinyl and contour cut opaque t-shirt transfers.

how are the quality of these prints on cardstock?  Is there a better printer to get?

Thanks in advance!

I had a commercial grade HP Laserjet 2500 ($1500) that gave excellent results and I have recently printed some cards for friends with my WF1100 ($145 with CISS from HotZone360) so, I have to say the results are pretty good based on this comparison.

Agreed. You cannot go wrong with a Workforce 1100 with CIS. They print wonderfully on card stock. Here is a 3D Dungeon I built for my son out of generic Walmart cardstock.

(sorry the picture is blurry, stupid phone camera)

I have printed on JPSS, Jet Opaque, Cardstock, you name it. My wife also runs about 200 pages a week for school. It is a great all around printer and fits my needs just fine.
