Hello!
I'm new here. I have a small vinyl business in my home a secondary income. I'm looking to purchase a few cups but I'm having a hard time finding a website that's decently priced and I don't have to buy 50+!

Anyone have any suggestions?

General Vinyl Discussion / Best small format cold laminator?
« Last post by bluedogcs on September 20, 2017, 01:55:28 PM »
We are currently using a Drytac Jetmounter Jm26 (26" pressure cold laminator) and we're having trouble with getting the pressure just right. Can anyone recommend another laminator? Our medium is 24" rolls, so we need something small, no need for anything over 32" I guess. We need something with a more precise tension mechanism (JM26 has the knobs on either side you independently crank to 'feel' the right pressure)

We have no use for a hot laminator, but if there is a hot/cold laminator that does what we need we'll get it. We need something powered.

Anyone have any recommendations?
Thanks!

Welcome!  It's a great, extremely helpful forum.

I'm not sure on specific threads.  But there are a ton of Q & As on here to look back on.

Cutter Support / Re: Decals pulling up part of backing paper when trying to apply...
« Last post by jpeg1900 on September 16, 2017, 11:09:50 AM »
Hi guys, thanks for the responses! Sorry for the late reply. I think I've sorted it out. I took the blade holder out and retracted the blade. I did some test cuts on a scrap piece, by hand, and turned the blade out little by little until it cut through the vinyl, and barely scored the backing. I've currently got the force set at 6, which is lower then recommended in the user guide, but it seems to work fine. What was throwing me off is the automatic blade depth adjustment built into the machine. I believe the blade was just sticking out too far. I'm new to this, so I'm just experimenting right now, trying to get up and running. I did some test cuts, and pretty much just lowered the force to just before not cutting deep enough.

And yes, it's a standard blade. The one that come with it (CB09U)

Thanks again guys. I have had my notifications settings all jacked up, and been pretty busy!

Indispensable advantages that can be realized from the need to find another way to do this anymore, we understand what you want to say.

Cutter Support / cutting glitter heat vinyl and the vinyl keeps moving
« Last post by jamematthew_Wv on September 10, 2017, 01:26:00 PM »
i have a r-31 series and everything cuts good except for glitter heat vinyl. i cut some things on the glitter heat and it cuts fine. Some designs it will cut good then in the middle its like the pressure turns up cutting too deep and causing the vinyl to move. Just curious if someone can help or have had the same problem thanks.
