Many people on here are using the Epson Workforce 1100 with high temp inks from http://www.cobrainks.com

He even sells Workforce 1100 systems with the High temp CIS system installed so you don't have to buy new cartridges all the time. Just fill up the larger tanks on the outside!!

I am running a cheaper epson a NX415 with the high temp inks to give me a cheaper start up for now and I can upgrade to a Workforce 1100 and move my carts over to it since they use the same cartridges.

I say start with Richard's Cobra ink, you can even start with a cheaper printer like the Epson WF 30. You can atleast get started equipment wise under $100.00. Take into consideration the size of the items you want to produce. Many will be under 11x14 so the smaller printer will suite you fine.

I've used the Sublijet ink with a CIS and mine clogged. You definitely don't want to let them sit, you have to print atleast once a week.

Consider volume of sublimation items you are going to produce. If its something you want to "try" I say go cheap, the sub inks also have a shorter lifespan and do expire, so if you don't print alot you might get stuck with a whole lot on expensive unusable ink. (Ask me how I know )
