No, most consumer printers will result in homemade looking cards. Too cheap to order to make any sense DIY in my opinion.

I have a local print company that will let me will call 5000 cards in 12 hours for $18 and a 12 pack of diet coke. I just send folks to him directly and avoid the headache since it takes me 2 or more hours to get out of his shop most times.

I sell 100 cards for $20. I print on Extra thick photo glossy paper with a epson wf1100. I sell 1000 cards for $55 drop shipped, I out source the 1000 cards, I include basic layout with one or two changes, after that they pay extra for design. I use one of the cheap 10 up cutters for a 8 1/2 x 11 and it works like a charm. Some of my customers just want  100 cards now some understand it's not a good deal for 100 cards and opt for the 1000 and some spend $65 for 50 cards today and 1000 in the mail in a week. It's a add to bring in a few extra bucks  barley worth the time but my cost on 100 cards is $4, I can do a design in 10 minutets. And I have the equipment already. Why not

I tried cutting them myself, but they always ended up not being perfectly cut to the dimensions I wanted...how do you do it?

Thanks!

Doing a full bleed is tricky but With a little practice it's possible. You need to direct the customer away from full card photo background if possible when designing or learn how to do it with a no gutter cutter like this one
