I only use Oracal. Mostly 651. For the stuff I cut I usually can get away with the 15" roll of tape. I have regular and clear. Clear I use when doing layered graphics. I order from uscutter cause it's $9 for the whole order shipped. Plus I've noticed their prices on some rolls are cheaper than the same roll at sign warehouse.

Orcal. Better backer on the white and better adhesive all around.

Oracal all day. My cutter came with 12 rolls of Greenstar which were great for practice. But once I started using some Oracal, it's better in just about every way. It looks far better, smoother, more glossy. It weeds better, applies better, and the backing paper has grid marks on it I find handy when trimming.

I've only ordered supplies from US Cutter and Signwarehouse. Of the 2, I slightly prefer US Cutter. They seem to ship faster, and have a better price on shipping. For some reason, I've seen some bad comments about US Cutter. I have no affiliation with them, and get no discounts, but they've always done right by me. I ordered my cutter from them, and have placed several orders since. Everything always ships the as,e day or next day, and I get it quickly. Signwarehouse is good too, they just seem to lag a day before shipping my order.

Case in point, on Monday I placed an order with US Cutter for some things I need for a job. But there was a few small items USC didn't sell (stabilos) and one I forgot to order, so I also placed an order with Sighwarehouse just a few minutes later. As of now, I have a tracking number from USC and my stuff will be here tomorrow. I still haven't gotten a tracking number from Signwarehouse. I'm not complaining, I'm sure Signwarehouse will still get my stuff in a timely manner. But if I'm placing an order, I'll usually buy from USC first if they sell what I need.

Thanks again everyone!  Your information is awesome!  I feel like I have so many questions, and you are all answering them!  Thanks again, I will be ordering Oracale,  I believe I will go with the starter pack from US Cutter along with the along with the clear choice tape.  :D

Just to sort of expand on this:

The order I placed on Monday with US Cutter arrived today. The same day, at almost the same time, I ordered from Sign Warehouse. I still haven't received a shipping confirmation or tracking number from Sign Warehouse. Again, not complaining or trying to slam Sign Warehouse, just stating facts. Luckily, the stuff I ordered from Sign Warehouse wasn't real important to my current job. I'm glad I ordered the vinyl I needed from US Cutter, because I can start cutting now and be ready for an install Saturday.

If you are just starting out, I really don't suggest buying the entire starter pack of greenstar.  I made the mistake of buying to much of it and then switching to oracal.  Making the switch was by far the best decision but you do want to practice a good amount.  I suggest buying max 1 or 2 colors of green star to practice and then go to oracal.  As for transfer tape, I started with white and I did not like it at all, but that was just my view of it.  I have been very happy with clear rtape.  And for size, it all depends on what kind of stickers you are doing.  I have a 100 yard roll that is 6.5in because that is where most of my stickers come from but I also have the 100 foot sample greenstar rolls of 12in and 24in for the couple of large orders that I get

Hope this helps, coming from someone who started cutting about a month and a half ago.
