Hello and welcome to VinylForum.org!

We strive to have an open community here for those in the sign and graphics industry.  We have no affiliations with any companies or distributors, so we aren't restricted from posting links to any and all suppliers, communities, etc. that other sites may deem as "competitors."

We do, however, have a few basic rules:

#1.  Keep it clean.  We have a mature audiences section for mature content that relates to what we do.

#2. All discussion not relating to the industry should go in Off-Topic.  All Off-Topic discusssions that are mature or controversial (religion, politics, race, etc.) should start out in the Dumpster, as that is where they will end up regardless of where you put them.

#3. Keep Drama to a minimum. If you don't like a post, whether it is a request, price, or suggestion, be tactful in your responses or simply ignore the post and move on.

#4. Vectors.  We have a vectors offered, vector request, and vectorizing section.  Only Vectors offered is visible to those with less than 25 posts.  Once you get 25 posts (a good faith measure of you being a part of the community and not just a mooch) you will gain access to both Vector Requests and the Vectorizing section.  DO NOT POST REQUESTS ANYWHERE EXCEPT VECTOR REQUESTS! Doing so will result in them being moved, and you'll need your 25 posts to access your thread anyway.  25 isn't hard to do, but just helps us keep people from coming in and stocking up on vectors and then vanishing. Some of us have worked very hard to acquire or create our vectors and don't mind sharing them as long as you're willing to contribute to the community as well.

#5. Conduct business with other members at your own risk.  Any transactions for work or materials is the responsbility of the buyer and seller.  We have no control over these transactions, and as such, assume no responsibility should one go south.  If you would like for us to mediate between the parties, we will try our best to help sort out the situation.  If no resolution can be found, there's not much we can do. 

#6. We don't like to ban people.  Don't make us, we rarely have and it's usually an absolute final resort when it occurs.  Most things can be worked out maturely and there's no need to wave a ban stick at the drop of a hat to threaten people in behaving.  This just creates resentment and ultimately kills the atmosphere of a forum.

#7. NO CAPS LOCK.
