What digitizing software do you use and where is the best place to get it?
Graphtec CE5000-60, Corel x6, LXI VE master pro 10,  Hotronix Heat Press, Roland sp-300v

PED basic or Embird...I think I would go with embird.  www.Embird.com

You don't want me to tell you how many Babylock's I have had...LOL   5 in 14 years...I have always had at least 1 Babylock. It is the same machine as the Brother.  I have used Embird for MANYYYYYYY years. I even ran my Tajima with Embird. I love it...

looks like the embird is 150 for the basic program and 144.00 + 150 for the digitizing tools and 90 for studio etc. so about 300 just to get going for the embird and digitizing module?

Yep but you can buy it in stages. Just regular Embird for right now, that resize, move, edit. Does she have a jump drive with her machine? If so basic embird will transfer her designs to her drive also.  I have the digitizing part & never use it.  I also have Font Engine & a couple of alphabets. I use both of them alot...

her machine has 2 usb ports - haven't tried them out yet but figure you should be able to put the designs on the thumb drive and transfer them over.  thanks for the offer Peggy - she is just learning and trying things out!
