Silverbullet vs Graphtec CE 6000
« on: May 22, 2013, 11:47:34 AM »
I'm looking to invest in a larger cutter. I currently use a Black Cougar Lynx http://thatsscrapinc.com/blackcatcutters.aspx

I am wanting to update to a larger machine that will cut near 24". I want it to have contour cutting for future projects. My budget is $2500.00 for the machine. I'm looking at a Graphtec CE 6000, the Roland GX 24 or the Silverbullet 24.  The Graphtec FC series is a bit out of my price range although if there is a HUGE advantage to the price difference, I will take that into account.

I cut mostly wall decals and store window decals. I don't do vehicle wrap graphics.

Is there a preferred machine? Who do you prefer to buy from? I currently use US cutter for vinyl supplies and have been happy, but I'm always open to other opinions.

I appreciate any input. Thanks!

Thank you Mark! I have been leaning that way, but wasn't sure. I totally agree with you on the Oracal vinyl too. Thanks!

Have you Considered a Summa? My last purchase was a FC-8000 and I am disappointed that I did not go with a Summa instead. I have 1 in the shop and wish I would of went with them for the 64" also.

Normally I would say graphtec for anything but I have to admit the gx-24 was way easier to contour with - it finds the marks better than the graphtec

Roland GX 24 with Clean Cut Blades, and Oraca vinyl! We just added a second one to our shop not long ago.
